Start what you Finish!

In Uncategorized on July 30, 2010 at 6:34 pm

In Sensual Dance ART, it is crucial that when executing a movement or pose, that it has a beginning, a middle, and an end.

Your performance will look and feel complete, leaving you and your adoring spectators with a feeling of satisfaction… so to speak.

So for example if you want to blow a kiss, then you will want to take note of where the hand that you are using to kiss your lips with is, before you actually bring it up to your lips. This position will be the beginning… then you bring your hand up to your lips, kiss your lips, then blow the kiss to your audience. This is the middle. Now you will want to end this movement by placing your hand back to where it was, or you may choose to place it elsewhere. This will be the end.

Once you have ended your series of movements. You will begin another. The beginning of the next procession will be where the last one ended.

When this “Beginning/Middle/End” formula is not consciously administered, you and your audience will be left with a feeling of shortcomings and frustration at the lack of incompleteness.

On such a primal level, we as humans like to perceive things as complete and/or whole. It gives us a sense of safety and comfort.

You can practice this with different movements. For example waving to your lover, dropping something, then slowly and sensually picking it up, motioning to your lover to come closer, caressing the sides of your body etc… the idea’s are literally ENDLESS!

Be creative! Play with it and most of all have FUN!!!

Love your EVERYTHING!

I want you to start focusing on your body. In order to really enjoy your dance, feel energized, feel erotic and sensual, it is of optimal importance for you to feel confident and be aware of where your body is in relationship to space.

When you are “IN” your body, you are naturally present. Your most creative potentials are when you are in the NOW.

When we are engaged in dance we are essentially moving our bodies through space. We want to be present in our bodies while interacting with our surroundings.

Let’s begin with something very simple. We’ll call it the “Love your EVERYTHING” exercise.

I want you to close your eyes, sit or lie comfortably and begin to scan your body starting from your toes, move your attention slowly up through your body covering your legs, buttocks, genitals, stomach, chest, back, arms, hands & fingers, shoulders, neck, face and head. As you concentrate on these parts of your body, I want you to LOVE them. Send them pure love from the deepest parts of your soul, and really concentrate on them… deeply.

Do this for at least 1 minute everyday.

Once you have developed a LOVE relationship with your body you will be good and ready to naturally move with grace and ease within the space around you.

If you are finding this exercise challenging. No worries, just keep on going back to it.

Tamanu Oil!!!

O-M-G!!!!! I’ve discovered this AMAZING oil at our local health food store here in Guelph, Ontario. (The Stone Store)

I was looking for an oil based moisturizer for my face and was drawn to this little roll-on bottle of “Tamanu Oil”. It was advertised as “The ultimate in skin cell rejuvenation”!

Even though I had never heard of Tamanu oil, I immediately got a good feeling from merely holding it my hands. I felt extremely attracted to it and decided to try it! As I trust my intuition more and more, I am given very clear indicators through my emotional response system that tells me what is BEST for me. And BOY was this a GOOD choice for me!!! Not to mention that it is 100% pure wild crafted and cold pressed oil.

I’ve been using it for just over 3 weeks now, and already I am seeing obvious results. I use in on my face, neck, chest, breasts and vagina. I’m noticing that my skin is glowing, softer, smoother and even toned. There is a small patch of skin on my upper chest that has been overexposed to the sun and was getting quite rough and damaged. However, after applying Tamanu oil daily, It has completely restored it’s natural radiance… in just 3 weeks! I’m truly AMAZED!

So here’s what the experts are saying about it…

Tamanu oil has been used for centuries in the South Pacific Island and South East Asia as a beauty aid and to clear up skin problems. Healthy new skin growth is accelerated by the natural ingredients in Tamanu oil.

It’s proven effective for:
Pimples and scarring
Age spots
Wrinkle lines
Scar tissue
Dry, red and scaly skin
Sunburn
Insect bites
Burns
Stretch Marks

Antioxidant: Tamanu oil has powerful antioxidant properties which inhibit oxidative damage to the skin.

Rejuvenates skin: Tamanu oil is able to penetrate all three layers of your skin. It’s proven antimicrobial, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory qualities also improve skin rejuvenation and repair. Tamanu oil is safe to use even on broken skin.

Absorbs quickly/Good appearence: Tamanu oil is readily absorbed by the skin and does not leave a greasy appearance. It works rapidly to eliminate fine lines and plumps the skin.

What exactly IS Tamanu oil?

The botanical name of Tamanu is “calophyllum inophyllum” which comes from the Greek language and means “beautiful leaf”. Tamanu oil comes from the nut kernal of the apricot sized, green colored Tamannu fruit.

This particular batch that I am using is 100% pure wild crafted in the pristine coastal areas of the islands of Indonesia. The only ingredient is 100% Cold pressed Tamanu Nut oil.

If you’re in Guelph, you can pick it up at the Stone Store. It’s $12.79 for a 15ml roll-on bottle, which I’m estimating will last at least 5 months if you are using it twice daily as I am.

YAY for TAMANU OIL!!!

If you try it, please let me know how it works for you!

What a beautiful NECK!

In Uncategorized on July 27, 2010 at 5:40 pm

So many of us focus on the obvious parts of our bodies when exercising and toning. The abs, butt and arms are what most people like to work on. However, there are other spots that require firming and toning too. As we get older certain spots begin to lose their elasticity, therefore maintaining their luster with daily exercise will help to keep you young, beautiful and healthy!

The neck region is an area that we often forget about. Taking proper care of the neck area is necessary to attain a young and fresh look as muscles near the throat and neck region tend to show aging quicker than the face muscles.

By following some specific neck exercises, one can firm up the neck muscles and prevent their loss of elasticity.

So here is an exercise that you can get to RIGHT AWAY! It only takes about 2 minutes. Repeat it 2-3x’s at various intervals through-out the day and you will be well on your way to a achieving and/or maintaining a BEAUTIFUL neck!

Stand with your feet apart and slowly lean your head back as far as possible. Then place your palm on your collar bone. In that position, move the lower jaw 10 times forward using the neck muscles with your chin pointing towards the ceiling. Again, repeat this exercise 2-3 times a day.

ENJOY!

Self Expressions

How many ways do YOU express yourself? When I first started performing, the only way I felt comfortable doing so was with a mask on, and a mysterious stage name. Here I am speaking as “Madam X”…

Unique YOU!

In Uncategorized on July 17, 2010 at 9:18 pm

Styles, fads and fashions come and go. Mainstream media tells us what colors are “in”, what to wear and what NOT to wear.

However, I feel most creative, bright and powerful when I am wearing exactly what I like to wear based on my own imagination. Often times I will find pieces of materials, and mix-match items of clothing that inspire and energize me.

I am able to express myself in such a unique way through my clothing and style. I am able to communicate to others my souls beauty without words.

We are all unique beings. Wearing the colors and materials that reflect our inner rhythms will help bring out our beautiful individuality.

Be who you are in every way! Dare to be different! It’s GLORIOUS!

Daily simple routine

In Uncategorized on July 16, 2010 at 1:21 am

Wanna firm up, get a shapely figure and stay strong? Create a daily exercise routine that works for you. I have been creating and re-creating daily routines since I was 15.

A very simple 10-20 minute work-out EVERYDAY is all it takes. Choose exercises to target all the “sweet spots”. I like to focus on butt, abs and arms.

Pick a time to do it… and DO IT! I like to start my day with a good heart pumping, sweaty charge! You may find evening is better for you. Try different times of the day and see what fits in best with your schedule and personal preference.

Start off with 3X’s/wk and then work up 6X’s/wk. (Always give yourself one day of rest)

Make sure you change up your routine so you don’t get bored, or overwork the same muscle groups.

You may want to talk to a personal trainer or do some of your own research to find out what exercises will be best for you.

If you don’t know where to start…

Start with the classic sit-ups, push-ups and squats!

You could start with 12 sit-ups, 5 push-ups and 5 squats… repeat 3X’s.

Keep it up for at least 30 days in order to make it a daily “habit”.

You WILL start seeing results!

Try it! Let me know how it works for you.

START NOW!

Beautiful form #7

In Uncategorized on July 9, 2010 at 1:49 am

This will be the last blog of the first series of “Beautiful form” posts. The preceding posts, as well as this one, are to help you and I experience our beautiful, natural form both inside and out.

Now I realize that much of what I am suggesting will require some of you to alter your lifestyles in order to accommodate the new “habits”. However, this does not have to be a drastic change that will SHOCK your system, or throw you completely out of whack.

I just want you to start slowing introducing these new habits. A little bit everyday. Do what feels comfortable to you… just make sure you DO something!

For example; Take 2 minutes every morning upon waking and every night before sleep to meditate. Then slowly increase your meditation time to 5 minutes.

Start adding MORE alkaline foods to your diet by replacing some of the acidic ones with alkaline ones on a daily basis. If you have toast or cereal for breakfast, try fruit instead. (see Beautiful form #5 for chart)

DRINK MORE WATER!!! That’s an easy one!

Clear out a just little bit of clutter in your house or place of work every day until you are functioning in a entirely clutter FREE environment!

These are just a few suggestions to help get you started. Let me know how you’re doing, what works for you, what doesn’t and together we will discover our MAGNIFICENT, INCOMPARABLE, RADIANT, STUNNING, MARVELOUS, RAVISHING, SPARKLING, FASCINATING, WONDROUS, B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L FORMS!!!

The next series of posts will be a continuation of “Beautiful form”, but we will focus a little more on the physical aspects, like hair, make-up, clothes etc.

Till then… Stay BEAUTIFUL!

Beautiful form #6

Here’s another Gem for ya! You’ve probably been told this many, many, many times… DRINK LOT’S OF WATER!

But do you know WHY?

The human body is made up of between 55 and 75 percent water and is in need of constant water replenishment. So taking in enough water is really crucial to your health. Every system in your body depends on it.
Water is also a HUGE catalyst in losing weight, and keeping it off. It suppresses the appetite naturally, so you’re not feeling as hungry all the time.

Drinking enough water is the best treatment for fluid retention.
it may sound weird but, To get rid of excess water you must drink more water.

Water improves the skin by keeping it moisturized.

Your Skin is intricately tied to the overall health of your body. When your body is properly hydrated, you’ll look better and feel better.

Adequate water rewards you with…

* Enhanced health
* Increased energy
* Bright, clear eyes
* A radiant complexion

In addition, bloating and puffiness often disappear. How does this liquid work its magic? Behind the scenes, water…

* Carries nutrients to every cell in your body
* Flushes out nasty toxins
* Improves circulation and blood flow
* Lubricates your joints.

How much water is enough? On the average, a person should drink eight 8-ounce glasses every day. That’s about 2 quarts.

CHEERS TO WATER!!!

Okay so in the last few posts I’ve given you some keys to unlocking the secrets of your own beauty, and I’ve really been focusing on the SPIRITUAL aspects.
